May 29 marks World Digestive Health Day (WDHD)!

May.29.2026

Each year, the World Gastroenterology Organisation (WGO) leads a global public health campaign to raise awareness about the prevention, diagnosis, management, and treatment of digestive diseases.

The theme for 2026 is: "Chronic Diarrhea: Don't Flush the Signs Away."

Chronic diarrhea is common — yet it remains one of the most underreported symptoms in clinical practice. Many patients delay seeking care out of embarrassment, often until their symptoms become severe. But chronic diarrhea can be a signal of more serious underlying conditions, including ulcerative colitis and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).

This year's WGO campaign delivers three key messages:

▲ Listen to the signals your body — especially your colon — is sending.

▲ When in doubt, get checked for underlying conditions.

▲ Chronic diarrhea calls for attention, not shame.

One of the most reliable ways to assess colon health is colonoscopy. Yet inter-observer variability and missed subtle lesions remain real challenges in clinical practice.

At Ainex, we contribute to improving colonoscopy accuracy through ENAD, our AI-powered real-time endoscopy assistance software — in the belief that more accurate examinations lead to earlier diagnoses and better outcomes for patients.

Today, choose awareness — not embarrassment.
