Ainex Corporation (CEO: David Lee, hereinafter "Ainex") announced on July 22 that it successfully showcased its AI-powered real-time diagnostic assistance software for upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy, ENAD, at the 16th Singapore Gastric Cancer Consortium Annual Scientific Meeting (SGCC ASM), held on July 15–16 in Singapore.

The SGCC ASM is an annual academic conference organized by the Singapore Gastric Cancer Consortium, where gastric cancer researchers from Asia and around the world gather to share the latest diagnostic and therapeutic trends as well as clinical outcomes. It is widely regarded as a leading gastric cancer academic platform, combining scholarly authority with practical influence, in the Asia-Pacific region where gastric cancer incidence remains relatively high.

At its exhibition booth, Ainex extensively shared real-world clinical applications and the technological differentiators of ENAD, drawing strong interest from local clinicians. Given that the venue brought together leading experts in the gastric cancer field, inquiries were particularly active regarding ENAD CAD-Gx, an AI diagnostic assistance solution designed to identify early gastric cancer and pre-cancerous lesions. ENAD CAD-Gx detects abnormal areas in real time from gastroscopic images and provides diagnostic results across a range of lesions, including Advanced Gastric Cancer (AGC), Early Gastric Cancer (EGC), gastric Adenoma, Benign lesions, and Intestinal Metaplasia (IM).

The conference also drew attention as researchers from both Korea and abroad presented studies and real-world clinical applications utilizing ENAD.

Prof. Cheol Min Shin of the Department of Gastroenterology at Seoul National University Bundang Hospital delivered a presentation titled 'Applications of AI in Gastric Cancer,' explaining — through actual clinical cases — how effective image-based AI diagnostic assistance software can be in the detection and diagnosis of early gastric cancer.

Prof. Jonathan W. J. Lee of the Department of Gastroenterology at National University Hospital (NUH), Singapore, presented on 'Optimizing AI-assisted Upper Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.' NUH has conducted multiple joint clinical studies with Ainex since signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in 2024 for the deployment and efficacy validation of ENAD. Drawing on his hands-on clinical experience, Prof. Lee provided a comprehensive discussion of effective utilization strategies for AI-assisted gastroscopy and future directions for its optimization.
