Ainex Corporation (CEO David Lee, hereafter “Ainex”), a company specializing in AI for gastrointestinal endoscopy, announced on the 27th that it has been selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ “2026 DIPS (Deep-tech Innovative & Proactive Startup) Project.”

The DIPS Project is a government initiative designed to foster deep-tech startups with global competitiveness across six strategic industries, including AI and biotechnology, and twelve emerging sectors. Companies selected for the program receive comprehensive government support, including commercialization funding, connections for technology advancement, collaboration programs with large and mid-sized enterprises, and support for investment attraction.

Ainex develops and supplies ENAD, an AI software solution that detects lesions in real time and provides diagnostic support during upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy procedures, to hospitals both in Korea and internationally. ENAD has demonstrated its clinical value through multicenter studies, showing a statistically significant improvement in adenoma detection rate (ADR), a key indicator associated with colorectal cancer risk.

A company representative stated, “We have obtained regulatory approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) covering the full spectrum of upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy,” adding, “We have also secured regulatory approvals in six countries, including Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia.”

Currently, Ainex is expanding overseas supply and clinical collaborations primarily across Southeast Asia and Latin America, including Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, and Colombia, and has also established a partnership with Olympus Korea, a global medical technology company.
