Ainex Secures Medical Device Approval for AI Endoscopy Software ENAD in Indonesia
Ainex Corporation (CEO David Lee), a leading medical AI company, announced on the 29th that its AI-powered upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy diagnostic support software ENAD has received official medical device approval from the Ministry of Health (MOH) of Indonesia.
ENAD is an AI software solution that detects lesions in real time during endoscopic procedures and classifies them by type, thereby improving diagnostic accuracy and contributing to the prevention and early detection of gastrointestinal cancers.
Built on deep learning algorithms trained with high-quality clinical data, ENAD can detect even subtle lesions, helping to standardize the quality of endoscopic examinations. This capability has generated significant interest in Southeast Asian countries where there is strong demand for improved medical infrastructure.
Indonesia, the world’s fourth most populous country and an emerging market, is expected to see growth in its endoscopy market alongside the expansion of its medical device sector. According to industry research firm IRS Global, Indonesia’s healthcare expenditure has steadily increased in recent years and is projected to reach USD 51 billion by 2027. This growth is largely driven by government policies supporting universal access to safe and high-quality healthcare services, with further increases in healthcare spending anticipated.
Having already achieved successful commercialization in Vietnam, Thailand, and Singapore, Ainex is now poised to further expand its footprint in the Southeast Asian digital healthcare market with this approval.
David Lee, CEO of Ainex, stated: “With this approval, we will accelerate the introduction of ENAD to major hospitals and screening centers in Indonesia. Our goal is to establish a new paradigm of precision diagnostics through endoscopy AI.”
