Participation in Colombia’s International Gastroenterology and Endoscopy Congress and ENAD Demonstrations at Major Hospitals

Ainex Corporation (CEO David Lee, hereafter “Ainex”), a company specializing in AI for gastrointestinal endoscopy, announced that it recently participated in the “XXXII Curso Internacional de Gastroenterología y Endoscopia Digestiva” held in Bogotá, Colombia, where it showcased its AI-powered endoscopy diagnostic support software, ENAD. 

Following the company’s regulatory approval in Colombia in May last year, this initiative marks a step toward full-scale commercialization and the expansion of local partnerships.

The congress is a major international academic event attended by leading gastroenterologists and endoscopy specialists from across Latin America. 

At the event, Ainex introduced ENAD and shared insights into the clinical value and real-world applicability of endoscopy AI. 

Local clinicians who attended the congress showed strong interest in ENAD’s capabilities, particularly its ability to detect lesions in real time during upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy and to provide precise diagnostic support for clinicians.

In addition to participating in the congress, Ainex visited major Colombian medical institutions, including Hospital Universitario San Ignacio (HUSI) and Clínica Reina Sofía, where ENAD has already been implemented. 

The company also held meetings related to clinical practice and research collaboration.

During the visit, Professor Jeong-sik Byeon of the Department of Gastroenterology at Asan Medical Center in Seoul conducted live demonstrations of ENAD’s advanced features. The demonstration videos were also presented and discussed during a conference session, receiving strong engagement from the audience. 

Professor Byeon, a globally recognized expert in gastrointestinal endoscopy with extensive clinical experience, enhanced the demonstration by presenting practical clinical applications and usage scenarios of ENAD based on real-world workflows and clinical needs.

Building on its participation in the congress and visits to major hospitals, Ainex plans to accelerate the supply of ENAD and expand collaborations across Latin America, including Colombia, within this year. 

In particular, the company aims to leverage its regulatory approval and established hospital references in Colombia as a strategic foothold for expansion into neighboring South American markets.
