Ainex Corporation (CEO David Lee, hereafter “Ainex”) announced on the 21st that its AI-powered colonoscopy diagnostic support software, ENAD CADx, has been designated as an innovative product by the Public Procurement Service (PPS).
A company representative stated, “Following the designation of our gastrointestinal endoscopy detection software, ENAD, as an innovative product in 2024, ENAD CADx has now also received the same designation,” adding, “This designation will enable us to accelerate the development of an endoscopy AI ecosystem within the public healthcare sector.”
ENAD CADx is an AI software solution that provides real-time diagnosis by classifying lesions into three categories: adenoma/neoplasm, hyperplastic polyp, and sessile serrated lesion (SSL). It was designated as an innovative medical device (No. 95) in April 2025 and subsequently passed the integrated review for innovative medical devices in September of the same year. Starting from January this year, it has become eligible for non-reimbursed billing under the innovative medical technology pathway, expanding its application in clinical settings.
An Ainex representative commented, “This designation is expected to serve as a turning point for expanding endoscopy AI into the public healthcare sector,” adding, “We will continue to advance our technology and pursue further clinical validation.”
The ENAD series has been adopted by more than 100 medical institutions in Korea and has also been commercially deployed in approximately 30 medical institutions overseas.
